Besmir is a competent, resourceful, and highly motivated Athletic Trainer looking to make a difference in the industrial workplace by utilizing his skills to help prevent workplace injuries. Besmir received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of North Florida in 2013 and has gain experience treating in a wide variety of settings.
Besmir then received his certification of Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2014 which allows him to perform functional movement screens to create individualized exercise programs based on the impairments assessed. Besmir has worked in High Schools settings, Division I Collegiate Sports, with the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, the police force, firefighters, pilots, and so much more. Working at the Center for Health and Sports Medicine he directed the sports rehabilitation center as well as created and operated a wellness/athletic development program for all ages for over 5 years.
Besmir is also certified by the American Institute of Balance in Vestibular Rehabilitation where he treats many patients for vertigo, vestibular, or concussion symptoms. With his experience, Besmir wanted to make a change in the industrial setting due to alarming increases in OSHA’s recordable injury statistics.
